Sam Shirk + Ainsley Lafferty
SAM: What’s up everyone! My name is Sam Shirk and I’m from Prospect Connecticut. I have the great privilege of running as the Presidential candidate for this ticket. Running with Ainsley has been an absolute blast and we work really well together. I have been in TeenPact for 6 years now and have loved every second of it! I’m from a big family, 7th of 9 kids, meaning there is never a dull moment. Sports and music are two of my favorite things! Growing up, I played every sport that was offered to me from the private school I attended. Fun fact: I was in the top 3% of Spotify listeners this past year! While physical activities and music are awesome, talking with people about what the Lord is doing in their lives and hearts is my favorite conversation to have. I can’t wait to meet everyone!
AINSLEY: Hey hey friends! My name is Ainsley Lafferty and it is such an honor to be running alongside my good friend Sam Shirk for Vice President! I hail from Edmond, Oklahoma and I can play four instruments, dancing in the rain makes me happy, I just finished crocheting a big blanket, I have kissed a shark, my Sid the Sloth impression is unlike any other (ask me to do it sometime!), and I *might* be obsessed with eating goldfish snacks. Outside in God’s incredible creation is my favorite place to be, so anything adventure related is right up my alley. I currently work as a barista at a local coffee shop, and I love making cool latte art while sharing Jesus with the people that come in! I am genuinely so pumped for NatCon to be here! VISION STATEMENT:
We are running with the message ESTABLISHED which is a reminder of God’s love and a call towards holiness and steadfast living. God’s love is boundless and once you accept it, you start seeing yourself in the way God sees you; righteous in His sight. We are able to be established in this perfect love through the perfect example of Jesus Christ. In 1 Peter 5:10, God promises to establish us in His love if we are rooted in His teachings. Oftentimes, the way we act and present ourselves is a louder and stronger representation of the Gospel than our words could ever give. We become established by planting scripture in our hearts as it is the living breathing word of the Lord. While our message is the core of this campaign, we could not be more excited to announce the ideas we have for TeenPact if we were elected!
